Who Am I?
I was born in the Coromandel Coast of India, where my ancestors earned their living by fishing. This could be the reason for my affinity towards water. I am an Aeronautical Engineer, working for Boeing. Everything seemed perfect with a degree and a dream job yet I felt the void of not pursuing my passion. That is when my brother Lokesh introduced me to BASCOOL. I took the Level 1 Canyoneering course and my first descent was at Nagalapuram. This experience left me awestruck and I decided to accompany BASCOOL for exploration projects.
My best canyoneering trip was the first descent of Knotty Canyon, Wayanad. No man in recorded history had ever rappelled down this canyon. Although at first it seemed like a heroic thing to rappel down the canyon as the first person from our team, but later I was extremely anxious. I didn’t know what to expect and to top it all I was rappelling down without a BELAY!! The best part of this expedition was the last rappel of Knotty Canyon that was more than 120 ft in height and directly under the waterfall. What made this experience special was the gushing water pounding on my helmet. Initially I was scared but this fear soon turned into exhiliration. This was one of the highlights of my Canyoneering expeditions with the BASCOOL team.

Athletics: 2nd place in District Level 110m hurdles.
