Priyadarshni Tea Environs, formed in 1984, is a co-operative society for rehabilitating the bonded tribal labours, particularly from the Paniyar tribe, of Wayanad district. Nearly 400 tribal labourers were rehabilitated to this place from different parts of Wayanad making it the second largest tribal resettlement project in Asia.

Each tea leaf that was born here was raised by the tender strokes of breeze from the Arabian sea, and strengthened by the equatorial sunlight. Its fragrance was enriched by the rich soils synonymous with that of the gorgeous Western Ghats.
